What to Expect:

Playa Colora is celebrated for its exceptional beauty and pristine condition. The beach features crystal-clear waters that display a range of hues, from deep blues to vibrant greens. The sand is soft and golden, ideal for lounging, while the water’s conditions can vary. Some days you’ll encounter large waves, while other times, the ocean will be calm and peaceful. This beach is relatively off the beaten path, offering fewer tourists and a more tranquil setting, making it well worth the effort to reach.

How to Get There:

Playa Colora is located by walking to the end of Seven Seas Beach in Fajardo. There is limited street parking nearby, but you can also find paid parking in a lot close to Seven Seas. Once you’re at Seven Seas Beach, it's about a 10-minute walk to the end of the beach, followed by a 15-minute hike along a trail to reach Playa Colora. Be mindful that the walk can get very hot, so bring extra water and only pack the essentials for your visit.

What to Bring:

  • Extra water: The walk can be challenging in the heat, so staying hydrated is key.

  • Snorkel gear: On calmer days, the water is perfect for snorkeling and exploring.

  • Beach umbrella or tent: Shade is limited, so bringing your own will keep you comfortable.

  • Snacks and drinks: There are no facilities nearby, so pack enough food and drink for the day.

  • Towel and extra clothes: For after swimming, check out our TEEs and for relaxing on the beach, you're going to want to bring your ALSi blanket or Towel.

  • Sunscreen and a hat: Protect yourself from the sun, especially during the walk to the beach, so check out our hats.
